About Me

I believe that people can overcome their obstacles, no matter how big, with the guidance of an experienced and well-trained mental health practitioner. I am a living example of this. I grew up in a single-parent, low income household and was kicked out of my house upon coming out at the age of 16. I believed I was given a “rotten egg” and struggled with mental health and substance use issues for several years. However, I was able to turn things around by accessing the right support, studying the very issues that I struggled with and ultimately becoming a mental health therapist

Today, I’m a masters level psychotherapist (MSW/RSW) and mental health coach and I am passionate about helping people get through their mental health challenges and reaching their fullest potential. I have worked in various counselling programs and have extensive training in evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches to therapy. I place utmost importance on building a strong alliance with you, so we can work collaboratively to achieve your treatment and recovery goals.
